Chayelynn Moore

OKLAHOMA SENATE DISTRICT 10

Born in Claremore, Oklahoma and raised in a military family, Chayelynn (Chaye) grew up with humble beginnings that shaped her determination and work ethic. After graduating from Will Rogers High School, she built a diverse career in aviation, real estate, childcare, accounting, and ultimately followed her passion into cosmetology and education. In 2021, Chaye opened her first beauty college and a second in 2025, creating affordable pathways to entrepreneurship without the burden of a four-year degree. Known for fiercely advocating for her students and challenging harmful state policies, Chaye is now running for the Oklahoma State Senate District 10 seat, bringing that same commitment and fight to her community.

ON THE ISSUES

Education

Chaye believes every Oklahoma child deserves access to a high-quality education and supports providing universal preschool beginning at age three to help working parents and give children a strong, play-based start to learning. She recognizes that Oklahoma has long underfunded public education and is committed to recruiting well-trained teachers with strong literacy backgrounds, reducing reliance on emergency certifications, offering competitive wages, and returning schools to true fundamentals rather than teaching to a single test that does not reflect a child’s full potential.

Healthcare

As a Mvskoke (Creek) Nation citizen who has relied on tribal healthcare since birth, Chaye understands the challenges facing Oklahoma’s rural hospitals and is committed to building stronger partnerships between tribal health systems and local communities to expand access to care. Her own experience with a blighted ovum pregnancy under restrictive state laws drives her dedication to protecting women’s reproductive healthcare, ensuring that medical decisions remain with trained doctors, and improving outcomes in a state that ranks poorly in infant mortality.

Living Wages

As a small business owner, Chaye believes workers deserve wages that reflect today’s cost of living and that no full-time employee should struggle to survive. With minimum wage rising only from $5.15 in 1998 to $7.25 cents today despite nearly doubling costs for everyday goods, she supports policies that provide fair, livable wages and rejects the failed approach of trickle-down economics.

Protecting Oklahoma Families

Chaye believes Oklahoma must finally put an end to a system that has allowed sex offenders and predators to avoid accountability, and she is committed to reforming prosecution practices and strengthening penalties to better protect communities. Acknowledging the long-standing trafficking issues along the Interstate 35 corridor, she intends to champion laws that prioritize survivors, crack down on traffickers, and create a safer environment for all Oklahomans.
